Nothing is impossible’(Mudiyathathu illai) ,the first poem in Tamil She wrote when she was merely 13years of age ,remains Her philosophy in life. ‘Akka ‘ as She is known to many, has been writing under Her pen name ‘Mathioli’(the Light of the Intellect) for many years.She has penned many Poems, songs, Sthala puranams(Temple legends)scripted plays in Tamil for AIR(All India Radio), translated books from several languages for the National Book House as well. In 1998 and 1999,She was awarded the NCERT award by the Government for Her Children’s book ‘InainthiduvomVarungal. Some of Her books have been translated for English readers and some of Her Self- improvement books have been adopted by Management and other professional institutions as an inherent par of their programmes.

It has been a tradition for several years now, for a book of Her’s to be published and released very Christmas.’Idukku’(Crevice)was the latest release (DEC2006).She has more than 54 titles to Her credit. Her adeptness at all She attempts is a constant source of amazement for Her devoteesThis includes Her skill as a linguist,artist, musician,teacher and organizer par excellence. She has been at the forefront in preserving the Cultural Heritage of our ancestors by reviving age old values by adapting them to suit present times. She has invoved women in the revival and practice of the Ancient forms of art- Rangoli and Tanjore paintings. She is a visionary whose concepts for social emancipation, concern for the weak and underprivileged in society resulted in founding various organizations committed to social,cultural, religious causes,education and health care. Educating women on heath issues ,she conducted symposiums on Osteoporosis, Cancer and Diabetes in small hamlets and various cities roping in a number of eminent Doctors specialized in these fields.

The Grass roots community programme conceptualized by Her was instrumental in being invited to participate and showcase at he the WORLD PARLIAMENT OF RELIGIONS in Barcelona ,Spain in 2004. The late Sri.R.K.Swami(Doyen of Indian Advertising)whose association with Sri Akka goes along way, writes in his forward of the book ‘pranamamyaham’(compilation by some devotees):’Sri Amma‘s Divine personality is so well established.We are indeed a blessed lot to be living around this time when She is in our midst.Most people know Her as a simple lady who is a friend, philosopher and Guide to them.She leads a simple life living with us , as one of us.”
